DTF Transfer Size Chart: The Right Print Size for Every Garment

Hoodies & sweatshirts
- Front (above pocket): 10" – 11" wide, positioned so the design clears the pocket seam.
- Chest hit on hoodies: 4" – 4.5" — slightly larger than tees because of the heavier fabric.

Three sizing rules pros follow
- Size to the garment, not the design file. The same artwork should ship at 12" for XL tees and 8" for youth — order both sizes on one gang sheet.
- Measure the printable area: lay the garment flat, measure seam-to-seam across the chest, subtract 2" on each side. Design width should never exceed that.
- Scale height, check width. A square logo at 12" wide is also 12" tall — often too tall for a front print. Check both dimensions before ordering.
