What Is a DTF Gang Sheet? Fill One Right and Cut Your Cost per Print

A gang sheet is a single large DTF transfer film — 22" wide, as long as you need — packed edge to edge with as many designs as you can fit. Instead of paying per design, you pay for the sheet. Fill it well, and your cost per print drops dramatically.

Why gang sheets are cheaper

DTF pricing is driven by printed area. Ordering 40 left-chest logos individually means paying 40 setups' worth of handling. On a gang sheet, those same 40 logos fit in a couple of feet of film — one order, one shipment, one price. High-volume shops routinely cut their per-print cost in half this way.

Two ways to build one

1. Gang Sheet Builder (no software needed)

Our online builder runs in your browser: upload your PNGs, drag, resize, duplicate, done. It shows exactly how much sheet you're using, so nothing is wasted. Best for mixing sizes — pocket logos next to full backs next to sleeve prints.

2. Upload your own layout

Design your sheet in Photoshop, Illustrator or Canva and upload the finished file. Best for shops with a repeatable production layout.

How to fill a sheet like a pro

  • Leave ~0.5" between designs — enough to cut comfortably, not enough to waste film.
  • Rotate to fit. Turning designs 90° often unlocks a whole extra row.
  • Mix your order. One sheet can carry every size you press this week: adult, youth, sleeves, neck labels.
  • Use 300 DPI PNGs with transparent backgrounds. What you upload is what prints — blurry in, blurry out.
  • Group by garment. Cutting is faster when all hoodie backs sit together on the sheet.

Quick pricing math

Say a 22" × 60" (5 ft) sheet holds 45 left-chest logos. At sheet pricing, that can work out to well under $0.30 per logo — pennies compared to ordering singles. For production runs, bulk sheets at $2/ft push the math even further, and the Wholesale Program adds up to 20% on top for monthly volume.
